We at a missing link theatre company (amltc) are very excited to announce our upcoming show.

Due to the popular success of our holiday show, A Really RETRO Christmas Special, we are adding additional performances this year. A Really RETRO Christmas Special 2014 - December 11 (7:30), 12 (7:30) & 13 (2:00 & 7:30)at the McManus Studio Theatre at the Grand.

Imagine those live TV Christmas Specials from 50’s & 60’s (Judy Garland, Dean Martin, Bing Crosby, Frank Sinatra) where the setting was warm and cozy, the guests arrive and the show begins…NEW guests, NEW songs & NEW stories.... Expect surprises and lots of FUN.!! Christmas music combined with Popular & Musical Theatre standards from the 40’s 50’s & 60’s with heartwarming stories and comedy, Rick and the gang take you on a journey back to simpler times...  Some songs include… I’ve Got My Love To Keep Me Warm, Fly Me To The Moon, Witchcraft, Baby, It’s Cold Outside. The Christmas Song, White Christmas, Silver Bells, plus many more… Who knows, the Big Guy in RED may even show up...!!!!

• ​Rick Kish  (director/producer/performer)

Rick is thrilled to be working with this wonderful ensemble and to sing such great music and tell such fun and heartwarming stories. He is the founding artistic director of amltc and has directed JUDY: Stonewalled!, Billy Bishop Goes To War, the Brickenden Award Winning - Vigil, the World Premiere - The Great Kooshog Lake Hollis McCauley Fishing Derby by Norm Foster & A Closer Walk With Patsy Cline. Rick served as Artistic Director at The Port Stanley Festival Theatre (PSFT), 1999 - 2001 and Bluewater Summer Playhouse (BSP) in Kincardine, ON, 2001-2006. Selected directing credits include: Hedwig & The Angry Inch (2012 London Fringe), Wang Dang Doodle (Grand Theatre), Mary’s Wedding, The Wild Guys, Suds: The Rocking ‘60’s Musical Soap Opera, Forever Plaid & the World Premiere Production of Norm Foster's Storm Warning (BSP), Maggie's Getting Married, Pith, You'll Get Used To It! The War Show & Bordertown Cafe (PSFT). Rick has released a CD recording of Jazz standards entitled Little Boy Blue (which will be available in the lobby). Rick says a huge “THANK YOU” to everybody who has believed in and supported amltc thus far! There's more to come! Have an AMAZING Holiday Season..!!

• Natalie Howard-Grant (performer)

Natalie hails originally from London, England. She now resides in London Ontario! Her theatre career has taken her to four continents where she has performed in such shows as Starlight Express (Japan, Australia& Germany), Chess (UK tour), Cabaretand Return to the Forbidden Planet (Berlin). Natalie has performed in The Summer of Love which has toured extensively throughout Ontario and to Germany & back! She has performed with Rick for many years, most recently representing Judy Garland in amltc's JUDY Stonewalled! & A Really RETRO Christmas Special 2013. Natalie has released a self-titled CD recording of Jazz standards (which will be available in the lobby) and has been doing all of this while raising her two fabulous daughters Alex & Ella, who can also been seen on stages all over London.

• Margarita Sanchez (performer)

Margarita performed in her native Venezuela, where she participated in various plays, having won awards for her performance in both The Canaries and Deep. 

Here in Canada she has sung at the Aeolian Hall and the McManus Theatre, and this is her second year participating in the A Really RETRO Christmas Special 2014.

Margarita also serves as host of "El Show Latino" every Sunday 5:00 – 6:30 on 94.9 FM CHRW Radio. She has been honoured with the "Latino Leadership" award in 2013

• Emma Heidenheim (performer - amltc debut)

Emma is delighted to be a part of A Really Retro Christmas Special 2014! Recently Emma had the pleasure of playing Morticia in The Addams Family: A New Musical Comedy (The Grand Theatre High school Project), Myrtle Wilson in The Great Gatsby (Beal Drama) and Eulalie Mackecknie Shinn in The Music Man (Beal Musical Theatre). She is currently a Grade 12 Student at H.B Beal Secondary School, and hopes to study Music and/or Theatre this coming school-year at the post-secondary level. Emma would like to wish you a Merry Christmas, and hopes you enjoy the show!

• Connor Boa (performer - amltc debut)

Connor is excited about his first appearance with Rick Kish in A Really Retro Christmas Special 2014, Connor was last seen in the Grand Theatre’s High School Project, The Addams Family: A New Musical Comedy. At 16 he is blessed with a clear baritone voice reminiscent of years gone by. He has been working hard with his mentor, Rick Kish at honing his vocal skills.

Connor began acting at 6 years old at many Renaissance and Pirate Festivals throughout Southern Ontario in various roles. This past summer saw him in two major roles and as musical director for the Pub Sings. He also performed at the Saturday night special event at this years Pirate Festival.  

• Cosette Pin (Stage Manager)

Cosette is currently a Highschool student in London and has been involved with several theatre productions in the city. She’s had various roles, on and off stage in fifth High School Projects at the Grand Theatre, Anything Goes, Footloose, My Fair Lady, Legally Blonde & The Addams Family: A New Musical Comedy. Cosette enjoys being behind the scenes as much as she enjoys being onstage. This is Cosette’s fourth time working with amltc and is happy to be part of A Really RETRO Christmas Special 2014.

• Eric Bunnell (Set Design)

Eric Bunnell is delighted to return to amltc to design the set for A Really RETRO Christmas Special, after designing last season's Billy Bishop Goes To War & Vigil. He also designed the set for the world premiere production of Norm Foster's The Great Kooshog Lake Hollis McCauley Fishing Derby. Rick and Eric have a long history of collaboration including The Port Stanley Festival Theatre, The Grand Theatre & The Bluewater Summer Playhouse in Kincardine.

His recent credits also include Blyth Festival, Port Stanley Festival Theatre, Lighthouse Festival Theatre in Port Dover and for UWOpera at Western University. Eric is a St. Thomas resident.
